The folk chorus line “Jaro” (spring)

The folk chorus line “Jaro” (spring) arose in 1965. Its home town is Ústí nad Orlicí which lies in Eastern Bohemia. There are folk songs and dances form Podorlicko - Zamberecko region in its repertoire, which are composed into thematic shows. The chorus line is made of music and dancing components, it has together 32 members from 16 to 50. Folk music, under direction of Jan Dostal, often accompanies arrays of cultural and social actions self-containedly.

During its activities the chorus line “Jaro” has realized hundreds of performances in own country and even abroad. Its members delighted people on the folk festivals in Brazil, Italy, Holland, Germany, Slovenia, Poland, Korea, Mexico etc.

The chorus line is a part of organizers´ team of the international festival Cermna feasts. “Jaro” closely cooperates with children´s folk chorus line Jitrenka from Dolni Cermna and it has been looking for new successors among its members.
